Make Your Car a Text Free Zone!

I was driving home form gymastics this past Thursday and I saw something that was life changing.

I have to say right off I am NOT a texter!

Back to the story...

I saw a women texting in her car and narrowly missing a child and her mom crossing a street. All because she could not wait five minutes to text?? The sad thing is she was not even aware that she had just missed taking someone's live with her two ton black tahoe. I hope this story inspires someone to stop texting while driving today. Texting & driving do not mix!

It would be like my non texting self saying to you, "It's ok I can write a college paper and drive at the sametime~ not a problem!". Does that not sound CRAZY to everyone? Well, that's how CRAZY texting while operating a car sounds to me.

Just plain dangerous!

Eat Right, Right Now!!!

It's time to eat right and do that right now. Eating healthy is a state of mind. It's more mental that any slice of a strawberry. SO, I am making a pledge to eat right and do it right now. No more eating white stuff and no more high fructose corn suryp. I am taking the pledge right now at 5:31 AM. If you want to take the pledage~ log in and follow my blog & post your pledge. What a wonderful way to take care of your self since most Mom's and Dad's are so good about caring for others. Sometimes all you have to do is put yourself back on your TO DO List! Some people might say easier said then done. But, nothing can be done if you don't think it first! Time to make time for yourself!
Mom's have too may important people counting on them not to make healthy choices for themselves.

Funny, When it Rains it Pours...

Funny things kids say:
"Sexy Chic" is a new song on the XM station that I listen to. My reading child sees this song tittle flash accross the screen of my car radio and blurts out, "Sexy Chic, ugh!" What does that mean I ask? "Mom", says the nine and a half year old "I don't think you understand what sexy means." I say your right can you elaborate?? J says, "Well, its like I forgot. Nope I remember now. It's like when you think a girl is really hot!" And he turns to his middle sister and says, "Mom has NO idea what hot means... like when a boy wants to kiss a girl." I had to hold in the laughter! Yeah, I told J "What's kissing anyway?" J says see told yah! My middle one says kissing is gross! I say what every level headed mom would.."Yes, it is gross and when you start dating boys for the first time in your 30's you can kiss a boy." She says NEVER!! I'm thinking lets keep it that way!

Multi~Tasking it starts at 5 AM

My poor older daughter was feeling ill and just as I had gotten her comfortable in bed with ice pack (fever and headache), tylenol and a trash can with at towel under it~ my Paige is awake and wants to nurse. Husband takes sick one and I tend to the little trouble maker! All is better now everyone is fast asleep. See it's true a savy mama can do more before 6 AM than the army does all day!

That is the face of trouble!

As you can see from my daughter's pictures she has a face that says, "I am always up to something very creative". Not for the faint of heart!

How Savy Mama Started Her Day....

A funny thing happend this morning....

My littlest funny thing, my 20 month old daughter, was wondering around my bedroom while I was filling my sink preparing to wash up and get ready for the day. As I stepped out of the room for a moment to check on the older to kiddos~ I heard the infamous "PLOP!" At the same time I noticed that my palm pilot had been missing off my night stand. Just then it had occurred to what had happened. Paige had decided that this was the morning she would sign the palm up for swimming lessons in my sink. Lets just say the palm is not a fantastic swimmer. Nor is the Palm H2O resistant. As I was turning around Paige said, "Uh, oh!" Truer words had never been spoken. Now we are waiting the three day dry out for the battery with fingers crossed. Looks like I will go back to the old school approach for scheduling a playdate.... my pen and calendar. Good old faithful never fails. I explained to Paige no swim lessons for the paper calendar...the pool is closed.
